3–7 day itineraries, built from conditions

A rigid day-by-day list breaks the first time the weather doesn't cooperate. These modules are meant to be rearranged around the conditions you actually get.

Base, coast, and one weather-dependent day

A 3-day trip realistically covers one base (Tofino or Ucluelet), Long Beach, and one activity — a whale-watching trip, a surf lesson, or the Wild Pacific Trail, depending on season. Five days allows both bases, the Rainforest Trail, and enough slack to swap a beach day for a storm-watching day if the forecast changes.

Seven days is the realistic minimum to seriously consider the Broken Group Islands, either as a guided day trip or the start of a multi-day paddle, on top of everything in the 5-day version. Building in one genuinely unscheduled day, rather than a fixed activity, is what actually lets a trip absorb a bad-weather day without cascading.

Trip planning materials, map and notebook on a table
Treat each day as a slot to fill based on that morning's conditions, not a pre-booked sequence.
